Virtual Awards
I've snatched down a handful of web awards for my work on-line, for which I'm extremel grateful. It's nice to get recognition letting me know people appreciate all the stuff I've posted. I'm happy enough to get e-mail from around the world, but awards are also kinda cool! Some of these are serious, some just for fun...I appreciate them all, and all those who nominated me.

This, aside from a couple of "Golden Web Awards" (see below), was the first award that the Skinny Devil Music Lab web-site received. I was very happy about it, since I'd been offering free lessons for quite some time. My sincerest thanx!
..
The Troy Stetina camp offers these awards to only a handful, so these were a thrill to receive. It was all the sweeter for two reasons: 1) Because they were awarded to me in April (International Guitar Month) of 2004, and 2) because I landed 2 awards rather than just one (an extremely rare event). Being recognized as both a guitarist/musician AND a guitar instructor is way cool. Uber-Thanx, guys!

Lorraine sent me a very kind note saying that my site had received this award. I'm told it is generally given for tributes (my Hendrix lessons and such probably opened the door), but she had very nice things to say about the entire site. Thanx so much, Lorraine (and to the anonymous reader who kicked the whole thing off)!

Art Space 2000 awards not for music or content, but for web design; as they word it: "...creativity, integrity and excellence...". This was very cool - A mighty thanx to the folks at Art Space!

Well, I lost the 2002-2003 banner, but here's the award for 2003-2004. I'm not sure what these signify, to be quite honest, but I'll try to find out as soon as possible. If you know, drop me a line.
...
These guys crack me up. They tell me I had a clean sweep, though I suspect everyone else does, too! All in good fun, though...they're selling stuff, but it's still way cool to get e-mail out of the blue telling you you've won something other than a lottery for which they need you bank account numbers (hahaha!!!). They actually have some cool stuff, too - thanx guys!

We've been nominated for a 4-Elements Music Award. Way cool. Cross your fingers (unless you're playing guitar)!
....
We brought this program on-line officially on March 1, 2005 following some intense work and many valuable contributions from guitarists & instructors from all over the world. I sat down and went thru the criteria on March 2 and found that I score a Gold due to the speed requirements.

After considerable effort with the metronome, I finally got the Blues Scale up to speed by July, 2005.
Corporeal Awards & Honors
I've been lucky enough to be nominated for & even win a few awards, plus there are the obligatory band battles & guitar contest from back in the day (whatever exactly that phrase means), not to mention some very flattering top 10 spots on local & regional radio and store sales lists. A big thanx to the folks who have downloaded "Children's Songs" - we've now exceeded 39,000 unique downloads!

I'll try to provide a more complete assessment in the future, but for now I'll just hold my breath for those ADDYs, Grammys, BMI composers, Pulitzers, Nobels, honorary doctorates, and all that sort of stuff (hahaha!). On second thought, maybe I won't really hold my breath.....
