See Johnny Run
A very cool independent movie. A friend of a friend was working on it and sent the script over. I loved the plot, and ended up scoring the entire short-film. The opening theme (below) is a harsh contrast the the remaining score because the director wanted a sinister feel to kick things off. The mix here is somewhat awkward (distorted & lack dynamics due to heavy compression), but was used for the promo spot.

Opening Theme

Journey's End
Video game produced by BLP. It did a few sales via major retailers (CompUSA, K-mart, & others) which has led to the development of BLP's second game (more info soon). I had the pleasure of working with 2 other talented composers and produced 1/3 of all the music & sounds. This was an independent theme, but other pieces were constructed using themes from the other composers to lend continuity throughout the gaming experience.

 Pirate's Theme

Diamond Etude
The client who owned a jewelry store wanted something "...classy, but not classical; jazzy, but not jazz; up-beat, but not rock; down-home, but not country...", so I developed 2 themes. This is one of them.

Snappy Mart
The convenient store owner wanted a NASCAR feel as customers drove up to fill up the tanks. He liked the original, but wanted more drums. He reported an increase in gas sales, so I guess it worked!

Snappy Jam

AFS Academy
The academy director decided to do some TV ads and called with 24 hours to write, rehearse, perform, record, mix, master, and deliver! I did the demo in 20 minutes, raced to the academy, secured approval, & rushed back for a marathon session. The next morning, DAT & DAT deck in hand, we transfered the music (2 songs) and the final edits were done. The first commercial aired 48 hours later!

Badnarik/Campagna campaign
Some folks from the Libertarian Party campaign of Michael Badnarik called after I did some music for a fundraiser. They needed some traditional songs recorded for background to speech excerpts. I provided about 15 minutes of music; this is one of them performed on guitar.

Amazing Grace

Governor Patton
I do custom music gifts, transposing the letters of a person's name to musical notes & then creating a composition based on the resulting theme. This was done by request for (then) KY governor Paul Patton. "Patton" translates to the 6-note theme.
